 Week 9

This week we are in Holy week. This is the final week of Lent and it recounts the final days of Christ’s life, as well as his death, burial and resurrection. This is a short week for us all to spend and enjoy Easter with our families. We hope you all have a wonderful and joyous Easter.

Our learning focus this week:

In Literacy we are using our phonics to figure out unfamiliar words in reading and writing.

In Maths we are learning to add and subtract numbers using a range of counting strategies.

In Religious Education our focus is on Holy Week.

Library time-Kakano 1, 2 and 3 (note change of day and time)

Washing of the feet 10:15 am in hall

Rice Day

 On Wednesday as part of our Caritas Fundraiser and to raise awareness of those who survive on a bowl of rice a day St Mary’s School participated in the Rice Day Challenge. Students were provided with a cup of rice for their lunch. 

Everyone in the school participated. It was great for our students to experience what having limited choices felt like and plain food tastes like.
